Pendant control stations

You are in: Products Pendant control stations
TER has acquired decades of experience in designing and manufacturing control stations, providing now four series of pendant control stations or wall-mounted control stations, for auxiliary and direct control, used to command and control industrial machinery. control stations are used in particular in industrial and construction lifting plants to control gantry cranes, track cranes, jib cranes, wall-mounted jib cranes, tower cranes and winches for construction sites; in the automation industry to command and control systems to manage machines and processes, thus reducing the need for human intervention; in stage technology to control the equipment used to move stage sets, curtains etc.; in the waste disposal industry to control the movement of machines and equipment.

These machines operate in difficult thermal conditions (low or high operating temperatures) with great thermal shifts between night and day, and they are subject to a variety of weather conditions (water, dust, UV rays and salt). They therefore need components with a high degree of protection against weather effects, resistance to extreme temperatures, high mechanical and electrical durability and resistance, accuracy in control. All components must be precise, reliable and safe to ensure good handling control, guarantee maximum operating safety, prevent personal injury and damage to objects, and prevent collisions and impact when a number of machines of the same type or similar are present in the same area.

TER range of control stations includes three series of pushbutton stations for auxiliary control (two pendant control stations and one wall-mounted control station) and one series of pushbutton stations foe direct control, with 1 to 15 actuators depending on the unit requested.
Each project has been developed on the basis of specifications such as technicism, anthropomorphism, futurism and ergonomics to give the control stations an innovative design, where each graphic element is linked to a specific technical function. Dimensions and shapes are the result of careful analysis of the product ergonomic aspects, aimed at achieving a graphic style that blends in with modern industrial environments, making TER control stations extremely handy, user friendly and easy to integrate in the machine. Compact dimensions and antislip grooves on the cases make it easy to handle the control stations under any working conditions.

Each series of control stations has specific features which drastically reduce time and costs for installation and maintenance down time.
Mike and Victor have been designed to facilitate wiring and maintenance: the switches are installed in the base of the control station, together with the inlet of the cable, and are separated from the actuators, installed on the cover.
The innovative hanging system of Mike, with cables hidden inside the shell, enables quick, correct, ergonomic installation. A specific protection is available for the actuators installed on the bottom of the control station.
Victor cable clamp can be installed at the top, at the bottom or on the rear panel of the control station. Victor is available also with magnetic mounting case.
Charlie features a threaded ring used to secure the enclosure and cover, which also allows easy access to the internal components without any need for tools or screws. . The switches are assembled inside the pendant station without the need for screws and they all have terminals facing the cable clamp of the pendant station and screws on the opposite side to facilitate wiring.
By turning the cable sleeve on the central part axis og the NPA-CP control staion, the pendant station is kept at an angle of inclination of 20° which allows the best view of all control elements, allowing the operator to work in a natural and non-tiring position.
All emergency stop mushroom pushbuttons comply with ISO 13850 or EN 418regulation.
All NC contacts are the positive opening type for safety functions .
The control stations can be fitted with one or two speed switches, LEDs and potentiometers.
A wide range of actuators is available in 6 different colors, also illuminated: pushbuttons with symbols or blank, 10 mushroom pushbuttons, 6 pilot lights, 10 key selector switches, 120 toggle selector switches.
Rubber pushbuttons ensure protection against dust penetration, to prevent them from becoming stuck when the control station is used in particularly harsh conditions.
Discs comprise of a moulded two-colour arrangement offering a combination of clear reading of symbols and text with maximum wear resistance.
Depending on the series, the control stations are tested to operate at a maximum ambient temperature ranging from -40°C to +80°C.

All the materials and components used are weather resistant and guarantee protection of the units against the penetration of water and dust.
Each control station features different degrees of protection: IP65 (water jets), IP66 (strong high-velocity water, 100 liters/minute), IP67 (temporary immersion), IP69K (high-pressure/steam-jet cleaning water) and they are all totally protected against the penetration of dust.

All control stations are CE marked and they are manufactured in compliance with the Directives and Standards in force. Some TER control stations are UL certified for the American market, CSA certified for the Canadian market and EAC certified for the Eurasian markets (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan) as proof of the importance given to the quality levels required in different countries.
Mike and Victor control stations conform to the regulations for the prevention of accidents BGV C1 (only for Germany) and they can be certified SIL 1, referring to the integrity level required of a component to be suitable to perform a safety function for a given time and under specific conditions of use.
